Referees Officer

We wish to advise you that Carl Daughters has decided to step down from his post as Referees’ Officer for the South Wales Football Association. It’s a post that Carl has held since 2003 and he was the longest serving SWFA Officer of those in post at the start of this season.
In this time, a tremendous amount of change has occurred in the development and training of referees and Carl had a very large role in overseeing that on behalf of the SWFA. We wish him well for the future.
At the SWFA Council meeting held via Zoom last Tuesday, the Council decided to appoint Richard Burgum to take over the role from Carl. Already known to many as Assistant Referees’ Officer, Richard will inherit the email address of for correspondence.
