South Wales FA affiliation fees 2020/21

The Association has considered its fee structure for affiliations for season 2020/21. We are cognisant that season 2019/20 was curtailed and that at the time of writing, it is uncertain how much of season 2020/21 will actually be played. We are conscious of the costs that clubs have incurred and the strain on their usual income streams and wish to look at offering support to clubs for the coming season. END OF SEASON PLAY-OFF STRUCTURE

The association has now announced the format of play-off matches to decided promotion to the South Wales Alliance Football League at the end of the 2019-20 season. At present we have eighteen teams from eight different Leagues who have correctly submitted applications and therefore a play-off competition will be required.. Junior Referees

The South Wales Football Association has decided to follow the practice of the North East Wales FA and several English Counties in introducing yellow armbands for referees who are under the age of 18. The aim is to make players, coaches and spectators aware that the referee themselves is still a minor. The Loosemores SWFA Senior Cup

We are pleased to announce that Loosemores Solicitors will be sponsoring the 2019/2020 South Wales FA Senior Cup. The competition will be known as the ‘Loosemores SWFA Senior Cup’ for the upcoming season.  The competition is open to Senior clubs who play in the South Wales Alliance Football League or the top divisions of local leagues within the SWFA area and do not enter the Welsh Cup or FAW Trophy. REGIONS’ CUP UPDATE

You may have been aware via Social Media of our representative team competing in the UEFA Regions Cup Intermediate Round recently in Bulgaria where we met representatives from Belarus, Turkey and the host nation. Claims from clubs who allege ex-players owe them money

(This note was originally published at the end of the 2009/10 season) but it was felt appropriate to move it up to greater prominence again) The Association regularly receives claims from clubs to pursue ex-players for sums it is claimed are owed to them. Message to all club secretaries (10.10.09)

Please will all club secretaries advise the Association if they are to be away on holidays and provide an alternative contact to receive disciplinary and other correspondence.  Clubs not complying are running a risk of sanctions for delaying responses to correspondence including fixtures being suspended.
